Audi Volkswagen Middle East donates fleet to DCAS

In these unprecedented times, we must never forget the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS). This is where you hear Portals from Avenger’s Endgame (YouTube it if you haven’t heard it).

Our heroes are risking their lives on the frontlines in the battle against COVID19.

And Audi Volkswagen Middle East has rallied to their aid like Gandalf and Eomer leading the charge against Saruman’s Uruk Hai at Helms Deep.

Applause for humanity as Audi Volkswagen Middle East donates fleet to DCAS, featuring Touaregs, Teramonts, Tiguans and Passats, Q3s, Q5s and Q8s for the transportation of critical equipment, medical supplies and essentials to team workers and their families living in the UAE.

This amazing gesture from the German titans means Ambulances are now reserved for emergency and essential operations.

A kind gesture from Audi Volkswagen Middle East

What they say

Khalifa Al-Drai, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services praised these efforts, saying:

“This is a great example of a company standing side by side to support the safety and wellbeing of fellow members of society. Indeed, the true spirit of the UAE and its people is evident during these exceptional times.

“These difficult situations cannot compromise the determination that everyone in the UAE holds and it’s vital that everyone follows official direction from our authorities who selflessly strive to provide the highest levels of security, health and safety for us all.”

Meanwhile MD of Audi Volkswagen Middle East, Jan Bures, weighed in on the importance of unity in the face of adversity , saying:

“It is crucial during times of real adversity, that we come together to face challenges collectively.

“We feel extremely proud to be providing a fleet of cars to the DCAS, assisting them with delivering food and medical supplies without having to use their own ambulances, ensuring these are reserved for crucial, frontline jobs only.

“We have witnessed such great initiatives taking place all over the country, and what is clear is that by coming together, we will get through these challenging times, and come through the other side once more.”

And while Audi Volkswagen Middle East donates fleet to DCAS, UAE distributor Al Ghandi showed their solidarity with Dubai police, donating 10 Cadillac Escalades to the cause. Not sure about you, but I wouldn’t want to be caught in a high speed chase in Dubai!
