Lamborghini has a new boat, the 63, and it’s awesome

Quite a lot’s happened in the automotive biz this week. Between new EVs and the battle of the best self driving technology, it seems as though we have become quite inundated with four wheels on asphalt. Which is why we want to switch it up and draw your attention to the Lamborghini 63, Lambo’s new boat! Here’s the scoop.

Like a Sian in water…

Lambo have teamed up with the Italian Sea Group to bring you the Technomar for Lamborghini 63, or just 63. Wanna hear a series of ‘coincidences’? That’s the length of the boat, the year Lamborghini was founded AND the number of units that will be produced. Sssssslick.

Does size matter? Like we said, it’s only, what, 63 feet long, not exactly a large yacht (apparently the benchmark for that’s 79 feet), but still big enough not be considered a cabin cruiser, which is the small willy of yachts at 39 feet and less.

Either way, the twin 24.2L MAN V-12 diesel engine will need the combined power of 4000 horses (sea horses?) to keep up. You can make up to 60 knots on this little guy, which is around 110 km/h for you tarmacins and asphalites.

More speed?

Should we be expecting more from Lamborghini? Put it this way, MAN previously supplied 3 of the same V12s for a 100-foot-yacht. THAT’S a big ‘un right there, and definitely WAAAAY heavier.

And yet, it still racks up 55 knots, which is only marginally slower than Lambo’s little guy.

You could argue that it’s got an extra engine, but still given the puny size of the 63, you’re definitely asking for more bang out of your buck, especially if you’re going to cough up $3.4 million for it! I mean, Cigarette’s  six-engine Tirranna is faster at 131 km/h, and who lives in a world where a cigarette is faster than a Lamborghini?!

Nice try, Cigarette…

A Lambo at heart

Well, at least it still feels like a Lamborghini, with design cues from its four wheel counterparts. The bow lights mimic the Sian FKP 37 hypercar’s headlights, while the cockpit, bucket seats and start button are all trademark Lambo.

There are similarities…

And if it looks like a Lambo, feels like a Lambo, then screw the extra knots. Just sit back and enjoy the $3.4 million you paid for the Lamborghini 63. Whatever floats your boat, right? #dadjokes.

Not convinced? This video will get you there:

Sweet Lambo music to my ears…
