The wait is over at last, and boy was it worth it. The Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD Spyder 2020 is here!
Top marks for the top down variant of the Huracan EVO RWD, and kudos to Lamborghini for offering an Augmented Reality tour of the vehicle so that you can enjoy it while social distancing.
It was meant to be, with the Aventador already done over with four variants and the Urus SUV selling more than it can keep up with. #wecalledit
In a nutshell
Lamborghini are known for delivering speed, luxury and tech, and the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder does not disappoint.
The RWD sets itself apart from her 4WD cousin with a nose shaped like a shark’s and sharper lines in the rear diffuser.
Also, whereas the 4WD employed a Y design, the Spyder has gone for a wider, sharper air intake.
You can experience the exhilaration of a top-end sports car, with speeds of up to 325km/h, leveraging off the 610 CV delivered through a colossal V-10 engine, which will take you from 0 to 100 KM/h in 3.5 seconds. Yowza.
Human Machine Interface
The Spyder becomes an extension of your very being with this new HMI, featuring an 8.4-inch multi-touch screen, with important information like real-time traffic and a Game of Thrones recap available at the touch of a finger. It’s connectivity like never before on a Huracan!
Nitty gritty of Aerodynamics
Another important improvement they’ve made with the EVO RWD Spyder is the creation of a suspended wing, which maximises air flow passing underneath the car and improves engine cooling through a sharp increase of the front radiator flow rates. It’s streamlining at its best.
The diffuser has also been redesigned to increase the vertical downpush, one up on its 4WD counterpart.
Introducing P-TCS
This is where things get real good for sports car lovers.
The Performance Traction Control system really distinguishes itself from the standard TCS, as it now proactively manages torque, and improves the effectiveness on low-grip surfaces in Strada mode.
It also enhances the ‘fun to drive’ element in the Sport mode and maximises vehicle traction in Corsa mode.
