If you want to get away for the weekend, but can’t figure out how to cram 7 people into one car, you’re in luck. The new 7-seater 2021 Chevrolet Captiva has touched down in the Middle East, and has been tipped as one of the most affordable in its family.
Building on Chevrolet’s global SUV experience, the Captiva delivers on Chevy’s 3 S’s: stylish, spacious and smart.
Chevrolet Middle East’s Head of Brand, Farah Amhaz, could barely contain her excitement, saying:
“The wait for the all-new Chevrolet Captiva is finally over.
“The reception following the car’s regional debut last November got us very excited and we are really looking forward to seeing it hit the roads here in the Middle East.
“With its cutting-edge styling, enviable interior space with up to seven seats, high fuel efficiency and smart technologies, Chevrolet Captiva is a perfect match for the region’s busy families looking for the ultimate companion at an affordable price.
“We are confident all-new Captiva will quickly become a firm favourite in our line-up.”
The Captiva’s exterior has been given a makeover, with a new grille design to better dissipate engine heat for a better driving experience.
You’ve got a choice of five colours: Aurora Silver, Starry Twinkle Black, Earth Brown, Candy White and Glaze Red.
The halogen headlamps are fitted with LED daytime running lights, which also integrate with the turn signal indicators. Complementing a third rear brake LED light on the spoiler, the Captiva really optimises driver visibility.
And guess what? You and your family are in for a treat with a spacious and comfortable cabin design, regardless of whether it’s the five or seven seater.
The Premier trim comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a 7-inch TFT colour information screen, perfect for those long getaways.
Also, gone are the days where you tripped and trod your way to the back seats.
The second row, split 60/40, can slide forward for more legroom and easily tumbles for access to row 3, which is split 50/50 and can be folded flat if you decide to leave the troublemakers at home.
A 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, Double Overhead Camshaft with Dynamic Variable Valve Timing and a fast response turbocharger are responsible for powering your family’s day trip in the desert.
You can also spend less time at the gas station and more time playing ‘eye spy’ on the road with a 13.4 KM/L fuel efficient tank.
Add to this an automatic continuously variable transmission with shift control and electric steering, and you’ve got a vehicle built for smooth and seamless acceleration and deceleration.
Catch the latest episode of your favourite TV show with a centre-mounted 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, accessible via Bluetooth and USB connectivity on all seven seats for entertainment on the go.
Operate Cruise Control, adjust audio and receive calls on the multifunction steering, so that you never have to compromise safety for functionality.
The Chevrolet Captiva may just be the best companion for you and your family.
