UAE’s fuel prices for May 2020 have been announced!
Even if you live in a box under a bridge, you’d have definitely heard about the massive, unprecedented drop in oil prices below 0.
We are not nearly financially savvy enough to explain how someone can sell something for negative money. Just take it at face value. This was a huge and extremely crazy deal.
In April we saw a sizeable drop in the fuel price (averaging about 10% decrease), and since the oil market tanked the way it did, it would be reasonable to assume that the fuel prices would go down even more.
Unfortunately this did not happen. Prices in May stay the same as in April. While this might seem confusing, we at Mikaniki are busy staying at home and so it really doesn’t affect us all that much.
Here are the details the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced:
- Super 98 price remains at AED 1.91/litre
- Special 95 price remains at AED 1.80/litre
- Diesel price remains at AED 2.06/litre
With COVID-19 affecting everyone, we hope you and your families are safe. Please do stay at home and maintain social distancing.

The fuel prices are applicable across all the 7 Emirates. This includes Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
